This years Super Bowl wasn’t the most exciting one but it was still a Super Bowl. The New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams went head on in the Super Bowl. This Super Bowl was watched by many of football fans. The first touchdown was in the fourth quarter this was the longest time that in any Super Bowl has not scored in the first three quarters.
Tom Brady has the most Super Bowl rings now and has many appearances in the Super Bowl. Tom Brady won his 6th Super Bowl in his career. The MVP winner Julian Edelman made many amazing catches to win his MVP. He made 10 catches to get the Patriots have a bigger advantage in winning the Super Bowl. Many spectators and me personally can agree that the game was a boring Super Bowl. The Rams offense was not good that day nor was their defense. Many Rams fan were disappointed during this game. They couldn’t get by the Patriots defense.
This was the Super Bowl where the longest punt was made by Johnny Hekker; he kicked the ball 65 yards down the field to make this happen. This Super Bowl also had the lowest points and lowest touchdowns which were a contributing factor to make this a boring Super Bowl. “It wasn‘t the kind of game anyone expected with the high powered Rams and Patriots offenses facing off in Super Bowl Llll,(Jeanna Thomas).” This quote shows that people were expecting a more exciting and thrilling game as both teams made many touchdowns to make the game close. For the last 5 years the viewers has been lowering from 2015 with 114.4 million to 2019 with 98.2 million viewers.
This may be a pattern and it will keep lowering from year to year as the viewers get less and less interested in the Super Bowl. This may be happening because people are getting stuck on their technology and is doing something “productive” or it might be because football isn’t as entertaining anymore. For example, the 2019 Super Bowl broke records for having the least points scored in any Super Bowl--this is not a good record to be broken. As we have to wait a full year before the nest season, one can only hope that the game picks up in excitement or America might have to choose a new favorite past-time.
